Their land of long winters, although incompatible for the growth of a wide variety of vegetation, does prove to have many resilient plants and wildlife. At the base of their mountain, the old forest that blooms only for four months out of a year, is a traditional migration route for many large herbivores. Snow berry bushes, when not picked clean by bears, are scattered throughout the woodland range and routes leading to the Eastern and Southern lands are easily accessible.
