Q. Can another Shfiter race visit a Kingdom they don't belong to?
Yes they can. There is no set time limit for how long they may stay but generally Shifters prefer their homelands so don't remain in foreign territory for long. There are inns that cater to travelers but foreigners aren't encouraged to buy property. Q. Do Shifters have any natural weaknesses or disadvantages?
Yes they do. All Shifters have a general allergic reaction to silver but there is a catch. Wearing items or touching items made of silver doesn't harm them. It's only when silver cuts, enters or punctures the body does it have a burning effect. Wounds caused by silver are harder to heal and are more likely to scar. Q. How wold should my character be to have a leader/shaman/advisor?
It is expected that they have and know a lot of information and experience in the field where they are applying themselves. So to that, thirty years of age is the minimum required age for those high positions Q. What is the healing factor of a Shifter?
They heal about 2x faster than a human (though they don't exist on Gens) would. A scrape could be healed in an hour, large wounds that do not require medical attention could take a half a day. Broken bones or sprains would require 24hrs to heal completely but may still be tender afterward. Q. How do Shifters age?
Shifters have a life span of up to two hundred years but very few actually make it to that age. When they reach 20 they stop growing and age slowly from then on. Q. Do Shifters get married here?
Yes they can but they call it Bonded Pairs rather than marriage. To be bonded with another Shifter can be forever or it can be for a short time depending on the situation but occasionally there are True Bonds, those who are soul mates. However a Shifter needn't be a soul mate to be happy with their significant other. Q. When does a Shifter learn to shift their form?
Approximately between 10 - 15 years of age. Q. What type of clothing do they wear?
All kinds, it mostly depends on the region as well as the tribe. Furs, leather and cotton are most abundant but some of the larger kingdoms have learned to make other types of dress (semi-modern you could say). Q. Are there magical creatures on Gens?
Yes there are but they are rare and generally do not venture near the Tribe lands. Q. Do regular animals exist?
Yes and in abundance. Q. What types of food do they eat?
Shifters are omnivorous but do require some meat in their diets but as for what culturally relevant food is served, it's whatever you want it to be. Q. My character has blue hair, is that a problem?
Not at all and yes the color will show up in their fur, feathers, scales, when they shift. Some Shifters have been known to dye their hair for camouflage purposes. Q. Is there a money system?
We decided to keep it simple but yes there is a currency system among the Shifters by use of gold, silver and copper coins. Gold = $9 USD / Silver = 3.5 USD / Copper = 1 USD Q. I want to put ___ for my occupations, is that alright?
Yes, feel free to suggest occupations. The list is only the ones that we thought up to be helpful. Q. I have an idea for a site wide event, who do I mention it to?
Suggestions board. Q. Are hybrids allowed?
Yes and No. Certain mixes of Shifter will have added affects whereas others won't but a Shifter is only ever one species so there will not be any mutant wolf shifters with wings. The Shifter birthing pattern goes like this:
Canine + Feline= Canine Canine + Reptile= Reptile Canine + Bird= Bird Feline + Reptile = Reptile Feline + Bird= Feline Reptile + Bird= Bird
Canine/Feline hybrids and Bird/Reptile hybrids do tend to gain traits from both sides. Such as a canine/feline hybrid having stripes in their shifted form or bird/reptiles having unique patterns.
