He is most at home amongst the rabble and unrefined, seeing as he’s about as classy as a rat and not nearly as subtle. Xiu is a man without any regular set of morals to keep him from becoming affiliated with the incorrigible riffraff and just as well with the upper crusts. Frankly they’re all the same and virtually interchangeable so naturally he doesn’t have a sense of discrimination between social class and race. His only standard is that anyone he may potentially befriend doesn’t try to kill him or pry too deeply into his life. Otherwise he’s glad to provide companionship and spread cheerfulness with song, stories and his comedic interactions. Not that he succeeds or that he doesn’t bring about trouble anyway. Xiu has a very canny character but he’s also a very frivolous man bordering on hedonistic. Taking his pleasures where he can find them amounts to many scorned feelings and unfulfilled agreements that have left a sour taste in the mouths of his associates. He’s got a terrible habit of being verbally antagonizing thus making him just as quickly disliked by others. There is also the fact that he’s an unscrupulous, smooth-talking, free-loading vagrant and shameless coward. Xiu has spun so many tales even he’s gotten lost in them; it’s only a matter of time before the tangles become too intertwined to get away from. [/style]

He’s an unsurprisingly itinerant creature but more than anything he is lonely, an aspect of both profession and personality that has seen him from one set of arms to another and with whom he is not so picky. His treatment of the game of affection doesn’t leave one wanting, showing great care and attention to whomever is his interest. The problem comes in is the longevity of any relationship be it love or otherwise as he’s prone to dropping anything that becomes too troublesome or ruffles too many feathers than he cares to smooth. Xiu, for lack of a better explanation, loves to love others and be loved in return. It’s the maintenance of the bond he doesn’t want to do or even know how to cope with. Xiu doesn’t have any siblings – that he knows of. He left the village some time in his thirties and hasn’t been back since so if he does have anyone he wouldn’t know about them. There are also comrades and friends who survived the Great War who may remember him in spite of all his physical changes who could run into him at one point or another. He’s been all over the different tribes so he’s got contacts just about everywhere but nobody knows much about him so feel free to throw in your own ideas.[/style]
