Due to his history of being sheltered and then right away being thrown into the role of being an apothecary apprentice, he didn't really make friends along the way. The closest he has come to that is anyone he interacts with due to his job. Due to the fact that his apothecary power is clairvoyance, it is easier for him to get closer to someone and is able to figure out what off boundaries and what is not. But if you are at a point where you can be considered a friend, he can be quite the sweetheart with you. Sure he has points in times where he seems to not care at all, but he'll go ahead behind your back and look out for you or help you in any way he can. Be aware, though, if you give Xander a reason to truly dislike him, he will make you life a living hell in a heart beat and have no qualms about it. Though he may act like he knows what he's doing, he has no experience. And so when someone comes along who switch positions and are forward with him from the start, he usually gets defensive and tries to run away from the situation, his nervous reaction kicking up. But when that time comes, he will be completely devoted to the person, though from time to time he will test them and what not, do to his somewhat manipulative nature.
