This is a sort of obligatory plot post because they need something to do. Truth be told Kahdal doesn’t particularly care one way or another about the Avis or its bird-brain king but he does hate them by association and I assume vise versa for Zion. Kahdal is all about fighting and pushing limits, the fact that Zion and the Avis community have opted to become a neutral community makes him think they’re nothing but cowards and he’d probably discreetly make fun of them for their political stance. He probably won’t have all that much contact with him but he will certainly ruffle Zion’s feathers a time or two and possibly instigate arguments whenever they’re together.

Sounds great! Zion doesn't think too highly of Canis shifters, and certainly not their king, not with the casualties of the great war still fresh in his mind. But he doesn't really know the man, so he hates him by association. I can't see them hitting it off too well -- the closest I can possibly imagine is a tentative respect for the abilities of one another, though even that is iffy. Enemies forever, I say, enemies forever.

So since Zion is older than Tyran by quite a lot and they were on the same side in the war I could see them having a mentor/pupil-like friendship or something. Where Zion saved Tyran during the war during a certain battle? Tyran isn't the most trusting person but he would trust most people who had saved his life. Though he'd still have his moments of "OH MY GOD THEY ARE POISONING ME" freak outs. But once his loyalty is gained he trust unconditionally... like a dog in a cat skin. So what do you think?

Hmm... So Zion and Tyran would be pretty buddy buddy ish? Fellow war heroes, perhaps? I like the sound of that! Maybe Zion saved him from an attack from behind or something like that. Zion has a habit of looking out a little too much for his friends/loved ones, so a mentor/pupil relationship sounds pretty plausible to me. Perhaps they would butt heads a bit because they're both arrogant/proud, but overall they'd be pretty close? Yes? No?

So I can only hope I’m doing this right. Alright so to begin with I don’t mind them having a previous relationship before the both Xiu leaving and the war, what that could entail is up to you but I’d assume they’d have a good relationship and were fairly close if not above acquaintance level. Xiu hasn’t changed much from the time he left to now, he’s just gotten bigger/longer hair/ect and the scar – he totally thinks he’s got everyone fooled and most everyone believes that he’s dead. So if they’re going to re-meet why not at the festival and they can have a brief yes you are/no I’m not battle and then maybe Zion can corner him later and ask all his questions and maybe get some answers?

Future developments? Not sure I haven’t anything planned fr Xiu other than being a sage-like nuisance but if you’ll allow it maybe Xiu could have his first male crush be Zion. Dunno, add/subtract/divide by 0 and what not.

Hurhurhur... Zion was rebellious as a younger shifter, so perhaps he would have been all like, screw you parents, and befriended Xiu/Nike despite their disapproval of him getting closer to someone they didn't see as the perfect role model for their son.
